Cold as Ice

Enjoying my time in Chicago and taking as many pictures as I can. It is really cold here and I think this picture sums it up. I took this back when I was out taking pictures of my dog; it’s a close-up of an icicle on my house.

At the Crossroads of the Sky

This was another picture from my trip to Denver. I caught the vapor trail of a plane just as it was flying over the top of this skyscraper. Originally it was a color photo, but I felt that the simplicity of the shapes and lines became more pronounced in black and white. Staring at the corner of the building creates a bit of an optical illusion of whether the side of the building is coming towards the camera or away from it.

I wonder if it would look better with higher contrast.
